ORGE Electrical Contracting gave life to Kartal – Kaynarca subway.
ORGE Electrical Contracting Inc., one of the leading companies in the sector with a half century of experience, expertise and confidence, has succesfully completed many major projects up to now. As of the opening of Kartal-Kaynarca subway line, on October 10, 2016, Orge can be considered as was the first Turkish company to carry out all electrical, signal and weak current works of a subway project constructed in Turkey.
ORGE Electrical Contracting Inc. which has 51 years of experience in the sector, become a true example fort he domestic capital, with the investment poured in the Kartal-Kaynarca subway line,which has a length of 4.5 kilometers and consist of 3 stations. Kartal-Kaynarca subway route is a supplementary line to the Kadıköy – Kartal subway line which an average of 700 thousand passengers. The project is estimated to decrease the distance between Kadıköy – Kaynarca to 38.5 minutes increase the total transport to 1 million passengers per day in total.
During the construction and installation of Kartal- Kaynarca subway line project, 845.000 meters of cable and 60.000 meter cable tanks were used, 280.000 pieces of anchors were pegged while 13 thousand meters of EMT and 300 electric panels were manufactured and assembled, 7.500 batteries and 8.500 armatures were installed by ORGE.
ORGE Electrical Contracting CEO Mr. Nevhan Gündüz gave information abut the work done on the newly opened subway route: “We transfer 51 years old experience to complete the subway project between Kartal-Kaynarca-Yakacık-Pendik. We did a good job on site; important for both our company and the country. This is the first time a domestic firm in a subway project so far completed all electrical, signal, low current works. In this sense, I believe that we have accomplished a huge engineering-contracting job.”
On the Kartal- Kaynarca subway route which is 4.5 km long, 34.5 Kv switching system was installed in 5 substations in 3 stations. The project also includes grounding system, battery and battery charges, leakage current grounding, corrosion control systems, command control, low voltage supply and distribution system, tunnels’ and stations’ signalling system cabling and device installation, active device assembly, 0.4 Kv LV main distribution panels , passenger information system, fire alarm, control system, low voltage system, lighting system and closed circuit camera system.
